The building of The Faktory, a private space for growing up high tech start up initiated by M. Pierre L'hoest the belgian entrepeneur well know for the TV slow motion technology. The Faktory will move in 2015 in this new premices in the center of Liège. The architecture intent is to anticipate the architecture of tomorow. As well as dedicated spaces for the startup, the building will include large area for biodiversity and urban agriculture.

Specific features

Glass and steel structure covering the whole internal space where are located the urban agriculture area. Reinforced concrete slab with exposed soffit. Unusual structure with a single column for the front part of the building. Four and a half basement floors below water level are built inside a secant pile wall.
